Our core team
Robert is our Head of Operations based in Hamburg (Germany). Prior to joining AQ Green TeC in July 2021, Robert worked for Aquila Capital’s internal audit division for approx. five years. He had previously spent four years at KPMG’s audit financial service devision in Hamburg. He graduated from the Leuphana University of Lüneburg with a degree in business law in 2012.
Head of Operations
Sid is an experienced project manager and strategy consultant with a background in corporate carbon strategies. He has developed carbon reduction and offsetting strategies for clients such as Volkswagen and HelloFresh. Sid has experience as Head of Climate Action and Head of Operations in climate tech and co-founded his own agency to develop international carbon compensation projects.
Consultant: Head of Carbon Management
In more than 13 years in project development, Wolfgang has been designing and implementing 60+ emission reduction projects in 14 countries, certified according to VERRA VCS, Gold Standard or the United Nations CDM. He has served customers such as Microsoft, LinkedIn, Commerzbank and the German Parliament. As a consultant in numerous assignments, Wolfgang supported navigating the international carbon markets. He is owner and shareholder to its own project developer companies.

Lloyd is well recognised within the field of corporate sustainability and carbon, consulting to companies to develop resilience and value creation strategies using best-practice models and standards. He has worked with global brands such as Chevron, Berry Plastics, Sasol, Afrisam, Wescoal, Astrapak, Saint-Gobain, Schneider-Electric, BASF, and extensively with leading listed and non-listed entities, including NGO’s and industry associations, in various sectors.
Head of Consulting
Cara has spent over 14 years working with online portfolios for various brands and industries, including 5 years working in B2B sustainability media. Apart from managing all active projects for AQ Green TeC, her core roles include bridging the gap between various stakeholders and service providers, design and providing a consulting arm on all things multi-media/ online.
David has spent 20 years consulting across the commercial aspects of sport and entertainment. It was during his time as an Advisor to Formula E, the purpose driven electric motor racing series, that he was inspired to start his own journey towards sustainability. David teamed up with Aquila Capital to launch AQ Green TeC and is driven by the prospect of enabling collective action in the global fight against climate change.
In 2004, Jost Rodewald joined Aquila Capital where he held various management positions and was jointly responsible for building up the group. Most recently, he served as spokesman of Aquila Capital Management GmbH and as a member of the Executive Committee.
Harald Metz has more than 20 years experience in the financial industry. He is responsible for project- and investment Management and IT for a Luxembourg based Finance Group (CBM Group). Before joining CBM Group he was Head of Group Audit at Aquila Capital. As Head of Audit German Hub at Société Générale, he was responsible for all audit activities in Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland.
Maria Wenske joined xRIT Deutschland GmbH in 2019 as Manager Operations and is responsible for the German group operation. Previously, Maria Wenske held various positions at Aquila Group for almost 10 years, after holding various positions at auditing and consulting companies.
Sarina is a Chemical Engineer working as a sustainability and carbon consult. Her focus is on assisting organisations with credible sustainability and carbon reporting as well as advising on and supporting their ESG strategies. Her experience includes project management as well as investment analysis and governance in the petrochemical industry and business development in the South African educational robotics and coding sector.
Over the past 10 years I've moved around in the tech space from being a Software back-end Developer, to a Scrum Master, Product Manager, Systems Manager, General Manager and Agile Coach. As the Lead Product Manager and Execution Principle at The Delta, I work with our product department to ensure we follow the best practices and principles when building software, to ensure our customers get the quality products and service they deserve. Alex is a specialist in leading the development of products, from initial ideation phases through to product launch. Having spent over 5 years with software and data management, her knowledge has helped deliver complex and innovative products to market.

Jared is AQ Green TeC’s Chief Technical Officer. He has spent close to ten years dedicated to the information technology and services industry, now being recognised as an expert in establishing and leading development teams that focus on emerging technologies.
Chief Technology Officer
Hugh is an experienced corporate affairs leader with over 30 years of agency and in-house experience with WPP agencies Hill and Knowlton and Cohn & Wolfe, followed by stints at Microsoft and Three UK the mobile network operator. After leaving Three UK in 2015, Hugh set up his own agency focused on telecoms, media and technology clients with an increasing bias towards carbon, culture and personal brand building. He is also Non-executive Chair of Ethex, the positive investment platform.
Head of Public Affairs
Chad has helped build and improved user experiences to platforms in various fields; from funding, finance, data privacy and currently, carbon offsetting with AQ GreenTeC, where he is involved in the UX and product strategy. Chad is passionate about creating products that make a difference, and ensuring they meet the needs of its users.
Aletta is a senior UI designer with years of experience designing interfaces for web and mobile apps across many industries. She's played an integral role in developing the face of AQ Green TeC's various tech-based solutions.
Our Advisory Board
Hans Joachim Schellnhuber is Director Emeritus of the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (PIK), which he founded in 1992. He is Distinguished Visiting Professor at Tsinghua University (China), and member of numerous learned societies. As a senior scientist, Schellnhuber has been appointed to various positions and served as scientific advisor to a number of eminent political and religious leaders.

Prof. Dr Jürgen Kropp
Co-Founder, Bauhaus der Erde. Former Chief Financial Officer of Veolia Germany - Veolia being the world`s largest environmental services group. Previous positions include CFO of Climate-KIC, EU´s leading climate innovation organisation, various international finance executive roles at E.ON group and investment banking. Among others he holds an MBA from Cambridge University.

Thiago Garcia has more than 15 years of working experience as an environmental engineer on sustainable development issues including climate change adaptation and mitigation projects, implementation of renewable energy infrastructure in developing countries, regional development, and water/environmental policies.

Youth Advisory Board
Nazra Noushad is the co-founder of The Climate Crew (TCC), a community of the world's top youth activists, innovators, environmentalists, political scientists and climate leaders on a mission to meet our global 2030 climate goals. Prior to TCC, Nazra lead growth and community at The Knowledge Society, a youth tech accelerator. She's done research deep dives into cellular agriculture, retrofitting, and computer vision for self-driving cars.
Cassia is a 20-year-old researcher and climate activist from Toronto, Canada. Throughout high school, Cassia worked on several climate-focused technology projects, including creating transparent solar panels with quantum dot nanoparticles and developing AI algorithms to slow overfishing. Following high school, Cassia joined the Community and Marketing teams at The Knowledge Society to help expand the startup to five new cities.
