SUSTAINABILITY IS ALSO AN INTEGRAL PART OF AQUILA GROUP’S CORPORATE STRATEGY

Its portfolio of essential assets have enabled the saving of over 6m tonnes of GHG emissions.

Its invested assets are projected to avoid up to 173m tonnes of GHG during their planned lifetime.

By 2030, Aquila are targeting the lifetime avoidance of 1.5bn tonnes of GHG as a result of investments in clean energy. This is a similar volume to the GHG emissions of over 150m average European households in an entire year, or 3% of the total GHG added to the atmosphere each year. This is an ambitious target, but the current trends and the Group’s international track record support their confidence.

Our core team

Robert is our COO based in Hamburg (Germany). Prior to joining AQ Green TeC in July 2021, Robert worked for Aquila Capital’s internal audit division for approx. five years. He had previously spent four years at KPMG’s audit financial service devision in Hamburg. He graduated from the Leuphana University of Lüneburg with a degree in business law in 2012.

David has spent 20 years consulting across the commercial aspects of sport and entertainment. It was during his time as an Advisor to Formula E, the purpose driven electric motor racing series, that he was inspired to start his own journey towards sustainability. David teamed up with Aquila Capital to launch AQ Green TeC and is driven by the prospect of enabling collective action in the global fight against climate change.

Cara has over 17 years of experience in multimedia, tech product development, project management, and UI/UX design. At AQ Green TeC, Cara specialises in aligning products with business goals, coordinating teams, and overseeing workflow systems.

Lloyd is well recognised within the field of corporate sustainability and carbon, consulting to companies to develop resilience and value creation strategies using best-practice models and standards. He has worked with global brands such as Chevron, Berry Plastics, Sasol, Afrisam, Wescoal, Astrapak, Saint-Gobain, Schneider-Electric, BASF, and extensively with leading listed and non-listed entities, including NGO’s and industry associations, in various sectors.

Lloyd Macfarlane

Head of Consulting

Dorette has worked as a corporate sustainability and climate change consultant for more than ten years. Her experience has centred around carbon management, developing greenhouse gas inventories and climate change strategies, and training facilitation for greenhouse gas emissions and carbon learning programmes. Dorette has worked with various listed companies, assisting with CDP submissions, and providing sustainability auditing services.

Dorette Oosthuizen

Senior Consultant

Wiebke joined AQ Green TeC in December 2022 as Manager Operations. She previously worked as a junior consultant and assistant to the CEO in the field of management consulting for several years. Furthermore, she has gained experience in scientific research and as a university lecturer for applied statistics. She holds a degree in psychology from the University of Hamburg and a PhD in psychology.

Megan began working for AQ Green TeC in 2022 while completing her major in Digital Design. She discovered her niche while doing a BA Visual Communication degree based in Cape Town, South Africa; story telling, digital design and overall user experience. Her work at AQ Green TeC allows her to express her love for the planet in her work. She is highly committed to sustainability and being climate conscious.

Megan Wayt

Junior Designer

Jost Rodewald is Managing Partner and operational director of AQ Green TeC and xRIT Group, which was founded by him in 2019. Prior to founding xRIT Group, Jost Rodewald held various management positions at Aquila Capital and was jointly responsible for building up the group and served as spokesman of Aquila Capital Management GmbH and as a member of the Executive Committee.

Maria Wenske joined xRIT Deutschland GmbH in 2019 as Manager Operations and is responsible for the German group operation. Previously, Maria Wenske held various positions at Aquila Group for almost 10 years, after holding various positions at auditing and consulting companies.
